Emergency Assistance Fund

Support a Neighbor in Need

Our Beth Tefillah community is growing, bringing together people from all walks of life. With this growth comes a shared responsibility: when a member faces hardship, we step in—quietly, compassionately, and without judgment.

Sometimes it’s an unexpected car repair, a medical emergency, or help with rent. Other times, the need is deeper:

Izzy, once a corporate professional, lost his health and home. Thanks to your support, he found medical care, a safe place to stay, and a new job—and a community to lean on as he rebuilds.

Shaina, in her 80s, beat cancer but couldn’t cover the cost of vital treatments. The community made sure she got the care she needed.

Motti, a teenager in crisis, found himself behind bars. Because of this fund, he received kosher meals, tefillin, legal help, and counseling. Today, he’s on a better path.

These are just a few of the lives changed by our Emergency Assistance Fund. When someone turns to us, we respond—quickly and discreetly.

How It Works:Our tzedakah committee—comprised of trusted community members—reviews each request carefully. Funds go directly to those in need. With no overhead beyond basic fees, every dollar you give makes an impact. Financial reports are available to all donors.

Our tradition teaches: “Do not close your hand to your needy brother. Rather, open your hand and give what he lacks.” (Deuteronomy)

Maimonides calls it the highest form of charity: giving anonymously, with dignity for all.

Will you help us answer the next urgent call? Your gift ensures we’re ready when someone needs us most.
